Aboriginal Cultural Enterprise
Project Overview
The Aboriginal Cultural Enterprise project ran from July 2010 to June 2015. The focus of the research was to develop business opportunities based on Aboriginal culture and traditional knowledge.
Enterprises based on land management and culture were researched so as to develop models and approaches that allow Aboriginal people to realise the full economic value of their own culture in a manner that respects its shared ownership and maintenance.
This research aimed to increase the economic participation of Aboriginal people from cultural knowledge, and most of the outputs are held with the communities where the research was conducted.
The project also published a journal paper, presented at a conference and delivered a partner briefing session.
